The Talmi-Method® is a somatic body-work approach developed by Prof. Martin Gruber, situated at the intersection of theatre practice, movement science and phenomenological language theory.
At the centre of Schüssler's work, which builds on the Talmi-Method®, is the conviction that language is a bodily act — not an abstract representation, but an enactment in space, shaped by breath, weight and movement impulse. In her practice she works with somatic attunement, translation processes between bodily sensation and linguistic expression, and the exploration of creative and communicative potential.
It is applied in theatre rehearsals, arts higher-education contexts, workshop formats and collaborative corporate health-management projects — and forms the methodological core of the collaboration with Slava Kushkov.

Situierte Sprachpraxis Situated Language Practice
Together with Slava Kushkov, she develops a field of teaching and research in which movement science, phenomenological language theory (Talmy, Lakoff/Johnson) and somatic practice come together into a new understanding of language in the body.
„Die Grenzen meiner Sprache bedeuten die Grenzen meiner Welt." “The limits of my language mean the limits of my world.” — Wittgenstein
Nora's artistic research moves within the field of embodied cognition and cultural ecology. Theoretical reference points include Hartmut Rosa's theory of resonance, feminist theory (Butler, Strömquist, Bartky), and the conceptualization of force and metaphor in Talmy and Lakoff/Johnson. In current projects — among them one on the trio of figures in Schiller's Maria Stuart — she brings together text analysis, original monologues and thematic sound research into an integral research process.
